FS Studio, which has built simulation and robotics systems since 2011, now runs US-based teams for robot teleoperation, data collection and deployment support, working on site at customer labs and facilities1.

Best for: Robot makers and AI labs that want trained people physically next to the robot: teleoperation shifts, scene resets and collection batches at their own facility.

Not the right fit for: Fleets deployed across many customer sites that need remote coverage around the clock.

What FS Studio does

Its robot-operations service covers teleoperation and physical robot handling, scene preparation, task resets and shift supervision, with a named lead and a daily shift log of exceptions and escalations. Customers choose a managed program, an embedded team directed by their own engineers, or a build-to-transfer operation that FS sets up and hands over with documentation. Programs run on customer-provided robots and procedures1.

For data, it offers three methods: robot demonstrations by teleoperation, first-person video of people doing the work, and demonstrations captured with a handheld UMI gripper. Each program starts with a written brief and ends with recordings, task metadata, a quality and coverage report and delivery in the customer’s format. FS states that it works in the customer’s tools, requires no FS platform and does not pool or resell customer data1.

Published evidence

No manufacturing case studies are published.

The engagements described on its page are labeled illustrative, and no customer is named.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • On-site crews handle what remote operators cannot: physical handling, scene preparation and task resets.
  • Three engagement models: a managed program, an embedded team or a build-to-transfer operation you take over.
  • Works in the customer’s tools and formats, and says it does not pool or resell customer data.

Limits

  • No prices are published; operations are priced by team capacity and data programs by batch.
  • The example scopes on its page are labeled illustrative, and no named customer engagements are described.
  • Remote, multi-time-zone coverage of deployed fleets is not described.

Choose another option if: Your robots are already deployed at customer sites and need remote takeover coverage rather than people in your lab.

Pricing

Not published. Operations priced by team capacity and coverage, data programs by batch, deployment support by project.

Questions to ask FS Studio

  • Which named lead would run our program, and who replaces them on leave?
  • How many episodes per shift should we expect on our robot and task?
  • In what format will data arrive, and can we see a sample?
  • What would it take to add remote coverage outside our working hours?
