AY-Robots is a teleoperation platform where remote data collectors drive other people’s robot arms from home and are paid by the hour for the training data they record1.

Best for: Small teams and labs with SO-100 or SO-101 arms that want remote operators to record LeRobot demonstrations on a monthly budget.

Not the right fit for: Industrial arms, humanoids or drones in production, or buyers who need a fixed operator team.

What AY-Robots does

A team connects its arm through a desktop client, releases it to operators with a maximum hourly rate and is billed only for the minutes a session runs. Every recording lands in the team’s workspace as a LeRobot dataset. When a trained policy gets stuck, an operator can take over, return the arm to its start position and hand control back. The platform adds cloud training on five model architectures, cloud inference and a marketplace for buying and selling LeRobot datasets2.

SO-100 and SO-101 arms run today; Koch v1.1 data is compatible, and industrial arms such as Franka, KUKA and Universal Robots models are listed as integrations on request2. Operators move from beginner to skilled to expert tiers as they complete demonstrations1.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • Fully published prices: plans, operator pay tiers and GPU time.
  • Subscription fees come back as training credit that does not expire.
  • Operators can take over a stuck policy, reset the arm and hand control back.

Limits

  • Runs today on SO-100 and SO-101 hobby-class arms; other robots need integration on request.
  • Operators are a marketplace graded by demos completed, not a team trained on your task.
  • On the Starter plan, operators cannot run sessions in your environment; that starts at Pro.

Choose another option if: Your robot is not an SO-100-class arm, or you need a consistent operator team and a service level.

Pricing

Published: Starter €49.99 a month, Pro €299.99 a month, Enterprise custom. Operators earn €6 to €22 an hour depending on level.

Questions to ask AY-Robots

  • What would integration of our arm involve, and how long would it take?
  • How are operators assigned to our robot, and can we keep the same ones?
  • How do you check demonstration quality before we pay for operator time?
  • What does the Enterprise service level guarantee?
